(Level B) $99,441 to $117,627 or (Level C) $121,256 to $139,445 per annum plus an employer contribution of up to 17% superannuation may apply.

The University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021 will apply to a successful candidate's employment at the University. The University recently temporarily varied its Enterprise Agreement. Please be advised that the salary range, along with other conditions associated with this position, may change in accordance with the variation to the Enterprise Agreement.

This is a 3 year fixed-term convertible position.

The School of Mathematical Sciences offers an intellectual environment, developing students with skills in high-level mathematics. The School is responsible for teaching the Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences program with specialisations in pure mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics, as well as providing high quality service teaching into other degree programs. The School provides an active and vibrant research environment and is internationally known for its research across all three of its disciplines. The School has research strengths in data science across the disciplines of Statistics and Applied Mathematics. Applications are invited for the position of lecturer to support our teaching and research in data science and statistics.

To be successful at Lecturer Level B you will need:
  • A PhD or equivalent in an area of data science, statistics, or a related field.
  • A strong record of research achievement, as evidenced by published work in high quality journals or leading international conferences, aligned with the research interests of the School.
  • A demonstrated ability to teach effectively using contemporary pedagogy.
  • A record of success, or potential to, attract external research funding.
  • Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion

In addition to the above, to be successful at Senior Lecturer, Level C you will need:
  • Demonstrated research ability in an area of data science or statistics.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to teach effectively at all levels including the development of short courses, using contemporary pedagogy
