Job Details
The Children's Hospital Service Line is committed to providing state-of-the-art clinical services to children. It imparts high quality undergraduate and postgraduate training as well. It consists of a group of dedicated full-time and part-time faculty members. Besides the outpatient clinics, the inpatient set-up consists of a paediatric ward with two units comprising of paediatric neurology, a neonatal unit with facility of admitting neonates along with ventilator support at a time, a dedicated paediatric ICU and post cardiac ICU and round the clock critical care looked after by fully trained paediatric medical and nursing staff.

This is a two-years training programme which includes classroom sessions, practical examinations and regular rounds in Inpatient and Outpatient patient care areas. You will work under supervision of consultants and specific responsibilities include to:

This is a two-years training programme which includes classroom sessions, practical examinations and regular rounds in Inpatient and Outpatient patient care areas. You will work under supervision of consultants and specific responsibilities include to:
- perform all basic and learn high-end modality non-invasive Paediatric Cardiology diagnostic procedures which include Paeds Echocardiography, Fetal Echocardiography and Transesophageal Echocardiography for accurate diagnosis of Cardiovascular diseases
- learn to perform above mentioned special procedures independently
- ensure conformity to set standards by working closely with senior staff
- remain involved in the learning of doing assessments and make regular presentations on your work as well as to attend all formal lectures, sessions and teaching conducted in the Paediatric ECHO programme
- perform any other task as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
You should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Medical Technology or equivalent while having a Master's degree in the same will be preferred
- good knowledge of clinical theories, techniques and equipment
- good communication skills, particularly in English language
- ability to effectively work in teams as well as independently
- willingness to work for extended hours and on-calls when required.
