We are currently seeking full-time experienced Critical Care nurses to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Temple. We are a 630-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

We are looking for RNs to work in one of our Intensive Care Units (ICU).

The Registered Nurse (RN) exhibits and executes Baylor Scott & White Health's Values & Behaviors in delivering and coordinating patient care. Utilizing the BSWH nursing professional practice model, the RN is a licensed professional who is responsible for using clinical reasoning, developing, implementing and evaluating the nursing plan of care, managing both emotional and physical patients, assessing patient and family level of understanding to provide effective communication and education, working collaboratively with medical staff and providing quality care in a compassionate and professional manner.

Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RNs work around the clock to deliver the best care to our most critically ill patients and their families. Patients in the ICU require constant care and monitoring by medical staff. Our

ICU RNs must be trained and educated to work with a wide variety of patient diagnoses and must be able to cope with the emotional aspect of working with these types of patients.

Ideal prospective ICU candidates must be able to work successfully in a fast paced environment, utilize quick critical thinking skills, act as a strong patient advocate and have at least 1 year of critical care experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

- EDUCATION - Associate's

- MAJOR - Nursing

- EXPERIENCE - 2 Years of Experience
1 Year of RN Critical Care experience required by department

- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
Registered Nurse (RN)

Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.

* Sign on bonus requires 2 years of RN experience
