The Centre for Academic Language and Development has vacancies for an Economics, Finance and Management tutor and a Maths tutor.

These positions offer the successful applicants a fantastic opportunity to join the International Foundation Programme (IFP) team in the Centre for Academic Language and Development at a very exciting time of growth and transformation. These changes aim to further develop the University of Bristol IFP as a world-class provision that attracts diverse, high quality students and provides them with an excellent educational experience. The new IFP Maths tutor, and Economics, Finance and Management (EFM) tutor will contribute to the delivery on the Centre's expanding provision of Mathematics and EFM units on the IFP. As a Maths tutor you will be expected to teach across all levels of our mathematics and statistics provision. As an Economics, Finance and Management (EFM) tutor you will be expected to teach on both our Management unit and our Finance and Economics unit.

As well as teaching, you will be involved in some materials development and other related Centre projects. You will also be allocated time for scholarship and CPD.

All teaching will be delivered in term time (Sept-May), so the working pattern of the 0.7 Maths position will be a full-time role over 31 working weeks, Monday to Friday, which will fall in the 2 University teaching blocks plus exam periods (not 0.7 year round). However, the salary is annualised i.e. paid monthly at 0.7.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who can join a rapidly growing, dynamic team of teaching professionals in the Higher Education sector. You should have experience of teaching Maths, or Economics, Finance and Management at Level 3.

We aspire to be a cutting-edge Centre that works with all individuals to develop their communication in academic contexts. To do this we work in line with 6 principles: development, reflexivity, transparency, autonomy, collaboration and transferability. If you feel that these principles are a good fit for your own, then we look forward to receiving an application from you detailing how you can contribute to the Centre's success. In turn, we will work with you to further your development as an academic practitioner.
