Job Details

This new post is to support a research project in the School of Education funded by the GW4 Alliance to develop a Climate Change Education Network. The network will bring together four of the most research-intensive and innovative universities in the UK; Bristol, Bath, Cardiff and Exeter, and will include teachers from local schools. The network will draw on multiple perspectives from across the natural and social sciences to develop a pioneering, collaborative network that generates novel action-orientated approaches for effecting behavioural change through climate change education.

The Research Associate will help capture and analyze dialogue during meetings involving university researchers and teachers, taking a key role in communicating with stakeholders and leading the realization of resources and deliverables. Due to Covid-19, it can be anticipated that much of the work will involve online working with some onsite meetings later in the project, circumstances permitting.

Candidates should have a good degree (or equivalent) and a post-graduate qualification (e.g. Masters) in the field of Education. They should have experience in collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative data, excellent organisational, communication, as well as proven IT skills, including for data analysis and online communication.

For informal enquires, please contact Professor Paul Howard-Jones (email: Paul.Howard-Jones@bristol.ac.uk or tel: +44(0)1173314496).

The closing date for applications is 23:59 on 12th October 2020.

We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
