This position is an excellent opportunity for an able and ambitious mixed-methods public health researcher to be involved in developing and conducting evaluations of public health programmes and other interventions.

As the position holder you will be based in a leading academic public health department and involves working collaboratively with local authority or other public health practice and public partners to co-design and conduct evaluations of novel and generalizable public health interventions.

As the post holder you will work as part of an National Institute for Health Research's (NIHR) Public Health Intervention Responsive Studies Team (PHIRST) and will contribute to the overall design, delivery, completion and dissemination of research that it is funded to undertake in collaboration with colleagues, local public health practitioners and other stakeholders.

You will require a range of research skills including preparing and managing applications for ethical approval, reviewing literature, recruiting to the research studies, conducting consultation with relevant public and practice partners, designing data collection tools, and the collection, management and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.

The Shanghai Ranking currently places Public Health at the University of Bristol as 3rd in the UK and 8th globally.
