We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Trial Manager, Portfolio Lead to join the team and manage an existing oncology team and / or a COVID-19 team. This will include resource management, oversight of financial management, new trial development, grant applications, and the ability to anticipate and consider potential issues or opportunities which could affect delivery and growth of the relevant portfolio. This is a senior post within the CTU with advisory, leadership and line management responsibilities.

The successful candidate will have experience of trial coordination and/or management experience gained through working on interventional clinical trials, including experience of IMP management, and have excellent knowledge of legislation, regulation and governance environment relating to clinical trials. They will ideally have experience of oncology or COVID-19 trials; developing trial ideas and applying for grants. The Portfolio Lead will be required to work with multiple stakeholders so must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and be a good leader and line manager.

The employing organisation is the University of Southampton which offers a competitive salary, pension scheme and other benefits. The post is offered on a two year fixed term contract in the first instance with the anticipation of an extension. Part time will be considered at a minimum of 0.6FTE.
