Work with Care Leavers

A Local Authority based in the South West is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Leaving Care Service specifically to work with service users between the age of 11-25.

Highlights:

  • You will help to support Placement Stability and helping to Manage Independence.
  • The majority of this role will be home based given the issues around Covid-19
  • All cases are being risk assessed and virtual visits are being done - PPE is being provided for high risk visits.
  • Local Authority offer up to £100/week towards accommodation (based on location) making this post more accessible if you're not based in the area.
  • 1 year contracts are being offered to successful applicants providing an excellent level of stability.
  • This is a locum friendly assignment and locums are being offered access to training and development courses usually reserved for permanent staff.
  • Market leading rates for the region of up to £35/Hr, coupled with money towards accommodation this can help you save a substantial amount of money.
  • Telephone Interviews are being arranged within 24 - 48 hours of CV's being sent.

    • This is an excellent opportunity to take on a locum post which offers a high degree of flexibility as you will be given the equipment to enable you to work from home so that you don't have to spend time travelling to and from work which could save you time in your mornings and evenings. The post will see you work with service users between 11-25 which are Looked After by the Local Authority and who are also Leaving Care.

    This post will see you work with services users to help prepare them for Independence by helping them access a range of services such as Housing, Employment, Health and Education. Therefore you will have the opportunity to work with other services and colleagues outside Social Services.
