Job Details
About the role
We are looking for an experienced academic partnerships manager with expertise in HE and FE sectors, and of establishing such partnerships at home and abroad - with partners from both the private and public sectors. We need someone who is clear sighted and effective, and who has the interpersonal skills to manage relationships internally and externally. The successful candidate will be self motivated and ambitious, with a values-driven approach to higher education and a clear business focus on the process by which this is delivered. The successful applicant will be able to work both strategically (advising the Executive where necessary) and operationally.
About us
Bath Spa University is focussed on creative enterprise and guided by our four values of respect, inclusivity, collaboration and sustainability. We teach around 8,000 students on a set of campuses around Bath, with most being located at Newton Park, including a listed Georgian house and grounds, or Locksbrook Road, our new city-centre art and design campus. Our research centres focus on creative industries and humanities.
Our purpose is to challenge our students and staff to realise their talent and thrive, for their own benefit and for the wider good. By doing this we will think and make the world better.
We have come together with ambition, drive and teamwork over the last two years and now boast one of the strongest senior teams in the sector. We are looking to strengthen this team with two outstanding appointments. Each is designed to offer a transition from management into a strategic leadership role, and the appointees will be mentored and helped to move across this boundary, while performing across both domains.
For an informal discussion regarding this post, please contact Professor Neil Sammells, Deputy Vice Chancellor: n.sammells@bathspa.ac.uk
We are looking for two resilient, innovative, clever and practical people who will enhance our team and bring humour and capability to the impossible demands of modern higher education. Please see our second advert for a Deputy Pro-Vice Chancellor Academic Planning. Full job descriptions can be found on the Bath Spa University jobs page.
We offer excellent facilities and benefits to our staff. These include a nursery, pension scheme, flexible working practices, an employee assistance programme, and family-friendly policies
We would particularly welcome applications from BME and female candidates as we are currently under-represented at this level
