My Client, a well known and established CDMO specialising in the areas of development, formulation and packaging of pharmaceuticals is looking to strengthen their development department based near Heidelberg by actively looking to hire a Team leader for their Analytical Development area. This is a brand new role, and an exciting opportunity for any successful applicant to join one of the most well respected CDMO in Europe, and to expand their professional skills and get exposure to some of the latest products available in the market.

Responsibilities for the candidate include:

  • Execution and evaluation of stability studies in coordination with the stability management
  • Timely, GMP-compliant execution and evaluation of the tests on development batches, stability tests and clinical test samples of development and transfer products including evaluation of deviations and approval
  • Efficient, cost-optimized processing and planning of all laboratory tests in close coordination with the Head of Analytical Development and the responsible scientists
  • Ensuring the validated condition of methods and laboratory equipment as well as compliance with the relevant pharmacopeia requirements in the area of ​​analytical development
  • Ensuring the qualification of the equipment and test facilities as well as compliance with the relevant SHE standards in the laboratory in close coordination with the Head of Analytical Development
  • Assurance and approval of all GMP documents required for laboratory testing of development / TT products, in particular test instructions, test reports and specifications
  • Leadership and development of the employees in the area as well as definition and improvement of processes
  • Representing the Head of Analytical Development

The ideal candidate should bring with them the following:

  • Successfully completed studies in natural sciences (e.g. pharmacy, chemistry) or comparable training with several years of professional experience in analytics as part of development projects
  • Extensive experience in the (pharmaceutical) laboratory environment, especially under GMP
  • Knowledge and practical experience regarding the development and validation of analytical methods (e.g. HPLC, GC, IR, dissolution tests, etc.)
  • Ideally, first leadership experience
  • Good spoken and written knowledge of German and English
  • Structured way of working and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent ability to define / optimize processes
  • Ability to communicate and work in a team
