Help Teach and Support Junior Staff and ASYE Studentsd

A London based Local Authority is seeking an experienced Child Protection practitioner to joint their Academy to team which aims to support junior colleagues and train ASYE students

Highlights:

  • Take on a coaching role focused around training and developing junior colleagues and introducing ASYE students to front line Social Work
  • Local Authority achieved an Outstanding Ofsted report in its last inspection
  • The authority boasts one of the lowest caseloads in London and wider region
  • As a Senior Practitioner your caseload will be capped and you will be using your cases to teach students and junior colleagues best practice
  • Will be providing coaching to experienced staff around complex cases such as CSE, Gangs, Missing Children and County Lines
  • Excellent opportunities for further development, you will receive further training and will have access to a training budget which you can use to attend courses provided by external providers
  • Will also get a number of days as study leave every year to encourage development
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and experienced Child Protection practitioner to help support ASYE students and junior colleagues around specific emerging themes in Social Work. A large component of the role is using your own small caseload to demonstrate effective practice to your students and colleagues. You will also help support them and their own caseloads being a subject matter expert and providing supervision where necessary

With the newly formed Academy the Local Authority, which is already rated as Outstanding by Ofsted is looking to further improve practice by providing more support and training to its staff which are starting their career or have only a few years post qualified experience

To be considered for this post you should have extensive Child Protection experience.
