Manage your own Diary and work autonomously from home

A Local Authority based in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Safeguarding service and they are providing a very high level of autonomy for the successful candidate

Highlights:

  • You will have the opportunity to choose where you want to work, whether it be from home or the office
  • Manage your own diary
  • The Local Authority achieved a Good Ofsted
  • Have implemented the Families First model which has invested heavily in Early Intervention so that cases coming through would have reached the adequate threshold.
  • Caseloads are average for the region
  • Most cases focus around Domestic Violence, Substance misuse and Mental Health.
  • Free Parking provided
  • This is an excellent opportunity to take on a role with a high performing West Midlands Local authority which has quite a large number of permanent staff and low turnover which reduces the risk of disruption to your own workloads. Furthermore Social Workers are being provided a high degree of autonomy by being able to choose where they work, whether that is in the office or from home providing you with the opportunity to have more free time as you wont have to worry abut commuting or traffic issues on those days you decide to work from home

    Locums within the Local Authority do report a high level of job satisfaction and do tend to stay on for longer than their initial 6 months and the Local Authority is happy to extend contracts for as long as necessary for those who are performing well and looking for a higher degree of stability.

    To be considered for this post you should have experience within a Safeguarding team.
