Our Rolls-Royce sponsored University Technology Centre for Computational Engineering is seeking to strengthen its team in the field of deep learning and artificial intelligence by the appointment of a new Senior Research Fellow. The work will involve the application of the latest technologies to the problems of advanced gas turbine design in close collaboration with staff at Rolls-Royce.

You will have a PhD or equivalent professional qualification in Engineering or a relevant discipline and a background in machine learning and the development of advanced computational systems. Experience with convolution neural networks, geometrical deep learning or generative adversarial networks would be an advantage. The ability to communicate with a wide audience is also essential as we work closely with our industrial partners at Rolls-Royce.

The position will be offered on a full-time basis until 31/05/2023.

There is one position available, with the successful candidate to be appointed as either a Senior Research Fellow or Principal Research Fellow depending on qualifications and experience. Two Job Descriptions are attached, one is for the Senior Research Fellow and the other will be for a Principal Research Fellow.
