It's not often that you get to join a global player in the specialties industry where you can enjoy the financial security and resources of a large company while experiencing the variety and working environment of a small business. If you have solid experience within REACh, CLP/GHS with exposure to REACh-like regulations, this could be your chance.

This position will be reporting in the head of Product Stewardship for the business unit while working closely with a global Product Safety and Regulatory affairs group where some exciting things are going on. Over the last 3 years, they have totally decided to restructure they way that things are done and they are currently in the process of implementing new systems and processes to help make this function more effective. As part of that team, you will be in contact with the project leader to provide insights in how to optimise product stewardship within the group allowing you to help shape the future of the business.

The hiring manager for the role started life off in the company as an R&D associate where he came from a company producing on products and where life was quite repetitive. The reasons he joined the company was because he wanted to be able to work on multiple projects and continually strive for innovation. Several years on, the company have continually recognised him for his work, this has allowed him to take on new responsibilities and move into new functions within the business. As with any growing business, these doors will be open to you as well giving you the ability to take your career forwards in a positive direction.

They produce a large portfolio of mixtures derived from minerals and specialty chemicals which have industrial applications. These are supplied into a number of different clients around the world so they are looking for an adaptable person who will be able to quickly understand and react to different regulatory requirements around the world. However, you'll also be doing this a little closer to home including anticipating Annex VIII to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and what steps will be taken in preparation. From day one you will be taking on, and managing, your own projects offering a lot of responsibility.

Key Requirements:

  • Around 4 to 7 years working in a Regulatory/Product Stewardship function
  • Extensive experience within REACh and CLP compliance
  • Knowledge in REACh-like regulations and GHS
  • Strong communication skills with ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders
  • Regulatory Watch
  • Masters level education within a scientific discipline
  • A professional level of French and English
