Average of 12 Cases in the children with disabilities Team

Due to our client actively trying to reduce case loads across the service, a vacancy has become available in the Children with Disabilities team based near Sutton. NonStop are looking for a social worker or senior social worker to join our 0-25 Disability Service and play a central role in delivering high-quality and responsive social work across children's and adults' services (up to 25).

Job Info:

• Average of 12 caseloads
• Pay up to £35 per hour
• 6 month contract
• Hold a mix caseload of children in need, child protection, looked after children and court work

With this authority having capped caseloads at 12, this makes for a more manageable workload. Allowing social workers in the team more time on their cases and more balance with there work and home life. Ensuring that people get the personalised care they need and additionally will create a better work life balances for the social workers.

As part of your role you will be responsible for building positive relationship with the children and families, and play a key part in the development of the child. We are very interested to hear from those who believe they have the following attributes:

• Previous children with disabilities experience
• Social Work England experience
• Extensive Care Planning, Court Work and Looked after Children experience

Social Workers support Families through child in need planning, short breaks, early support, looked after children visits, managing and reviewing care packages, child and family assessments, child Protection conferences and PLO work.
