Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to support the development of a range of cultural sector case studies and an ecosystems analysis on behalf of the Centre for Cultural Value, a national research centre funded by the AHRC, Arts Council England and Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
Under the supervision of the Director, Professor Ben Walmsley, the successful candidate will undertake extensive qualitative research and analysis to explore the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on arts, cultural and creative sectors across the UK and the strategic and operational responses from sector organisations to the crisis.
The successful candidate will possess a PhD in an area related to arts and cultural management and have a strong track record in conducting a range of qualitative research methods and analysing primary and secondary sources. They will also have experience of collaborating with external partner organisations, and demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the arts, creative and cultural industries.
Excellent communication and written skills are essential, as is a willingness to work quickly, remotely and independently.
