The PhD student will be integrated in the Axe 2 of the laboratory.
While nature and culture can no longer be considered as two distinct entities, the coming back of European predators questions our capacity to co-exist with others. In this perspective, a main issue is to understand how humans and non humans interact within a given space. Following an interdisciplinary research, this PhD project aims to study human practices and bears behavior spatially. Using camera traps, field observation and in situ observations, it aims to understand how herders and bears share a given territory and how they interact around the issue of predation.
