Job Details
We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow to support the exciting NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) project Improving community health care logistics using Operational Research, where we work closely with community nurses visiting patients in their homes to improve their routing and scheduling.
You should have a PhD or equivalent in Operational Research, Mathematics, Computer Science or a similar discipline. You should have an interest in optimisation methods and health care applications. Strong programming skills are also desirable, particularly in Python and C/C++.
Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification. The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD. Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
Please note, a standard DBS check may be required for this role.
