Help Improve Safeguarding within Schools

A Local Authority based in the South West is seeking an experienced Social Worker to help support Schools in the region with issues around Safeguarding.

Highlights:

This is an excellent and unique opportunity to use your Social Work experience in a different and very niche capacity. Working directly with Schools you will be providing a degree of consultation and training as to how they are able to identify potential concerns as well as how they are able to action these in the correct way. Historically referrals received from school may not have met the correct thresholds so this role aims to improve this and provide clarification as to when referrals need to be made

The post is diverse where as well as providing support and training to your peers in Education you will also be holding a small caseload of those pupils attending the school where Safeguarding concerns may be present. There will also be the opportunity to engage with those services users just below threshold to help coordinate early intervention services as to prevent further escalation the situation.

To be considered for this post you should have extensive Safeguarding experience
