Job Summary:

My client, a global company, is recruiting an Application Specialist to cover the Nordic region. Working in this role you would be supporting the Inorganic portfolio allowing you to expand your professional network and get your name out in the industry. You would be able to apply your scientific and technical knowledge, supporting the hi tech analytical instruments. It is best suited to individuals who like to combine their technical background with people support and interaction. Requirements:

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Cooperating with Sales Department on presales activities to improve sales execution and maximizing prospect conversion rates.
    * Providing technical support to the sales team and the users: instrument demonstrations, sample running, technical guidance on quoting and troubleshooting.
    * Being involved in the business forecasting and target setting process.
    * Developing relationships with the key opinion leaders across growth markets for the Inorganic product line.
    * Collaborating with R&D, the Business Unit, Market development and other relevant departments within the company.

Qualifications:

  • PhD or MSc in inorganic analytical chemistry, chemistry, or similar.
    * Experience in Inorganic technology(atomic and optical spectroscopy, mass spectrometry) with a strong technical background.
    * Analytical Sciences domain knowledge and market understanding.
    * Developing both internal and external networks, with an aptitude to maximise business at all interactions.
    * Proficiency in English and a local Nordic language(Norwegian, Swedish, Danish).
    * Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%, mainly in the Nordic countries.
