Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge?

Do you want to further your career in one of the UK's leading research intensive Universities?

As a world-leading centre for international business, the International Business Division produces outstanding and impactful research. Drawing upon our research and scholarship, we provide students an exceptional educational experience, offering skills and capabilities for competing in the global economy. Our research and teaching add continuous and sustainable value to business and society.

As a Research Assistant, you will work closely with Professor Jeremy Clegg on a research project which is a part of the University/Business School's response to COVID-19. This project seeks to conduct research on planning an economic and social recovery that is both green (sustainable) and inclusive. The COVID-19 pandemic has called into question existing growth strategies, which will be unsustainable once restrictions ease, at some point this year through to next year. New sustainable strategies will be essential to reduce costs and avoid generating new social problems. You will have a Masters and, preferably, a PhD in a closely allied discipline and demonstrable experience of conducting research, you will work both independently and as part of a larger team of researchers, to support research activities.
