zyBooks Digital Copy Editor
zyBooks seeks a full-time person to manage the digital copy editing and proofreading of interactive web-native learning content in STEM topics (science, technology, engineering, and math).

Overview
  • Maintain and update house style guide
  • Ensure all delivered content strictly adheres to house style guide
  • Identify and propose corrections for all grammatical, punctuation, and syntactical errors across a variety of disciplines, including computer science/engineering, math, engineering, statistics, and information technology
  • Recruit, train, and manage freelance copy editors and proofreaders, reviewing their work to ensure quality
  • Help establish workflows

Requirements / desired attributes
  • Professional experience copyediting and proofreading
  • Superior command of English language conventions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated and organized
  • Basic web and computer application usage
  • Familiarity or background in computer science / computer engineering fields is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 3+ years of equivalent work experience

Preference will be given to candidates working at the Campbell, CA office. zyBooks has a work-from-home policy that allows employees to work remotely one day per week.
