Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to support the appraisal of existing and future UK policy responses to the Covid-19 pandemic and assess their impacts on the cultural industries on behalf of the Centre for Cultural Value, a national research centre funded by the AHRC, Arts Council England and Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
Under the supervision of the Director, Professor Ben Walmsley (University of Leeds) and the Workstream Lead, Dr Abigail Gilmore (University of Manchester) the successful candidate will undertake extensive policy research and analysis to explore the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on arts, cultural and creative sectors across the UK and the policy responses from cultural policymakers and funders.
The successful candidate will possess a PhD in an area related to cultural policy and have a strong track record in conducting a range of qualitative research methods and analysing primary and secondary sources. They will also have experience of collaborating with external partner organisations and demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the cultural policy landscape. Excellent communication and written skills are essential, as is a willingness to work quickly, remotely and independently.
