Inorganic Field Application Specialist, Inorganic Chemistry Expert, Nordics, world leading diagnostics and analytical instrumentation

We are currently looking for an out-going personality with a strong educational background inorganic chemistry that is looking to branch out or continue their career in a customer facing position. This role will afford you responsibility as a key member of Chemistry Division for a world leading diagnostic and analytical instrumentation company in Sweden.

Training will be customised to your profile and you have the opportunity to work with state of the art instruments including Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), Inductively Coupled Plasma - Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES), Inductively Couple Plasma - Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) etc. There will be up to 30% travel across the Nordics so being open and interested to travel is essential. It's a great opportunity for someone who is looking to share their knowledge and passion for inorganic chemistry with like-minded chemists and customers across the Nordic region.

What will you be doing?

  • Work together with Sales on presales activities such as Customer presentations to improve sales execution and maximization of prospect conversion rates
  • Provide best in class technical support to the sales team and our users; including instrument demonstrations, sample running, technical guidance on quoting and troubleshooting
  • Actively input to the business forecasting and target setting process
  • Develop high-level relationships with the key influencers and opinion leaders across growth markets for the Inorganic product line
  • Collaborate with R&D, the Business Unit, Market development resources, Sales Development managers, field sales, service teams and customers to develop new application support data and sales support tools for the sales team

What do you need?

  • PhD or Master's degree in inorganic analytical chemistry, chemistry, or similar
  • Experience in Inorganic (ICP-OES, ICP-MS, AAS) technology and applications, strong technical background
  • Strong Analytical Sciences domain knowledge and market understanding
  • A good relationship builder, developing both internal and external networks, with an aptitude and desire to maximize business at all interactions
  • Candidates will need fluent English accompanied with a local Nordic language (Norwegian, Swedish, Danish)
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, mainly in the Nordic countries
