Job Details
Can you provide technical support to research studies?
Do you have excellent analytical, organisational and time-management skills?
Do you have technical skills in microbiology?
You will join an active research group comprising of Research Technicians, PhD students and post-doc researchers, engaged in a diverse range of objectives regarding Healthcare Associated Infection Research. Your role will involve working with in vitro gut models of C. difficile infection, culture and molecular assays; antimicrobial assays and susceptibility testing and quality control specimens for different studies.
With an advanced City & Guild, BTEC Higher National Certificate, Higher Diploma or equivalent (may include completing a relevant degree course). You will have substantial laboratory experience, a keen interest in medical microbiology and be well organised. Experience working with in vitro gut models, anaerobic bacteria and C. difficile would be an advantage. You will be encouraged to develop your initiative and independence, and be given the opportunity of career development.
