Help Train and Support Newly Qualified Social Workers

A Local Authority based in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join their Safeguarding service to help Train and Develop Newly Qualified Social Workers

Highlights:

  • This post will focus on mentoring and supporting the development of Newly Qualified Social Workers.
  • Will be working as the Lead within the team to support the dissemination of improvements to practice.
  • You will also be holding a small caseload
  • Local Authority is about to Launch Family Drug and Alcohol Court (FDAC) in partnership with 2 neighbouring authorities in the region, which you will be able to get involved with.
  • 1 year contracts are being offered to successful applicants providing an excellent level of stability.
  • The Local Authority has recently implemented the successful Family Safeguarding Model which integrates other specialists into the team including workers from adult mental health, drug and alcohol and domestic abuse services.
  • All Social Workers are currently Home Based
  • Pay rate for this post is £32.34/Hr

This is an excellent opportunity to take on an exciting post which focuses around training and developing Newly Qualified Social Workers, providing you with a new challenge and an additional dimension to your Social Work role. Furthermore, you will be home based for this post, which will provide a greater degree of autonomy and flexibility as to how you manage your day and time whilst also providing you a better work life balance as you wont have to worry about long commutes and as a result will have more time free in the mornings and evenings.

The Local Authority have recently implemented the successful Family Safeguarding Model as a part of its commitment to continue to drive improvements. This has integrated other specialists into the team including workers from adult mental health, drug and alcohol and domestic abuse services in order to provide a more holistic package of care. Furthermore the authority is about to launch Family Drug and Alcohol Court in partnership with 2 other Local Authorities and you will have the opportunity to be involved in their project.

To be considered for this post you should have extensive Safeguarding experience.
