Senior Assistant - GI & Surgery

GI & Surgery Service Line manages patients with a variety of acute and chronic surgical and medical conditions related to General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Gastroenterology. Comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory facilities including general and intensive care are available for patients. Moreover, our Endoscopy suite provides diagnostic / therapeutic scopic procedures to both ambulatory and inpatients.

Aga Khan University Hospital invites applications for the position of Senior Assistant - GI & Surgery.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

• Answer incoming and outgoing phone calls, communicates the same to concerned staff and takes actions as instructed
• communicate messages promptly and accurately to the supervisor and others in order to help in the maintenance of smooth functioning of Department
• keep track of supervisor's schedules, meetings and appointments
• arrange travel plans and compiles all documents for travel
• assist in time administration in PeopleSoft and other task as assigned by supervisor
• prepare drafts and types memos, letters and reports on routine and ad hoc activities of the department
• update departmental reports on ongoing basis
• raise MSR/PR online as requested
• assist in coordinating special projects and events as assigned by supervisor
• understand the workings of the department in order to facilitate the functioning of the department
• coordinate with support services departments for any related issues.

Requirements

You should have:

• Graduate
• 2-3 years of relevant experience
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• track record of mastering new tasks with little or no supervision
• good knowledge of use of computer and basic softwares
• ability to handle multiple tasks and perform under pressure.
