We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow in Health Data Analytics to join the new Survivorship and Multimorbidity Epidemiology Group led by Dr Marlous Hall. This post is available from December 2020 and offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing research team, working in a global priority research area with the potential to drive significant improvements in health and healthcare.
The Research Fellow will be based within the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics and work within multi-disciplinary teams on a project funded jointly by the British Heart Foundation and the Alan Turing Institute. You will be required to apply novel tools and techniques for analysing longitudinal disease trajectories within electronic healthcare record data to study real-life complex patterns of health and care following myocardial infarction (heart attacks).
You must have a PhD in computer science or numerate-related discipline with strong programming skills and be able to work effectively and efficiently with large and complex datasets.
