Job Details

Title: Director of Sales and Business Development
Location: Princeton NJ
Full-time position

Key responsibilities:
* Selling Artificial Intelligence products and solutions to enterprises and organizations within the information industry, specifically with a focus on professional publishers, and academic institutions and societies
* Developing short and medium-term plans to achieve strategic sales objectives within the assigned territory
* Partnering with the Business and Product owners on ideation around product positioning, pricing and prospective leads
* Identifying points of contact within target companies and manage the entire sales pipeline from qualifying leads to demonstrating products and solutions, to negotiating and closing new partnerships
* Nurturing and managing relationships with existing customers using Pipedrive, Salesforce, LinkedIn and other platforms
* Managing distribution partnerships with strategic partners across the industry
* Identifying new distribution partnerships to resell the organization's AI solutions
* Networking with industry leaders and decision-makers at relevant events and tradeshows
* Communicate and disseminate the company vision across the information industry and become an expert of AI solutions

Requirements:
* Experience from the professional academic publishing industry
* Prior business development/sales experience in technology/ technology-enabled products or solutions
* Willingness to travel to client locations
* Interested in new technologies such as AI / ML/ NLP
* Excellent organization and prioritization skills
* Ability to adapt and try different approaches to close sales
* Positive, performance-oriented and thrive in a collaborative environment
