Medical Device Security Specialist - In house

One of our clients in the Life Science sector, a well known Medical Device company with an exciting product portfolio is looking for a Security Specialist to come on board and join their team of in house experts. Your job will focus on continuously improving the medical devices, the company`s own HW products from the cyber security perspective.

What: Medical Device Security Specialist - In house

Where: South-West Germany (not a huge metropole, but a city near nature, mid size)

Must have-s: German and English on a fluent level; solid SW Development knowledge, initial Security Experience (big plus if directly from Life Science sector), based in the region / can relocate there

What you will do:

Analyses, assessment of the current state of product security, as well as improvement and implementation of security requirements, procedures in close cooperation with all product related SW Development teams.

Review of all security systems and architecture.

Lead the way for all SW and HW related security implementation.

As part of the security team drive the continuous cyber security risk assessment, monitoring and investigation if needed.

Product security related activities including source code review, etc.

Strengthen the security awareness of all employees through presentations, trainings.

Support the activities of the QA team - f.e. security testing of the products.

Vulnerability testing - perform pentests in order to identify potential problems in order to act proactive, rather than reactive.

Who you are:

Hands on technical experience in product security activities.

If directly experienced in the field of life sciences even better - IEC60601-1, ISO14971, IEC62304, NIST CSF, IEC/ISO27001.

Studies from a relevant field successfully completed.

Solid understanding of SW development and design tasks; network protocols, Linux OS, etc.

Fluent in German and English.
