The Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto and the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery – University Health Network are seeking to recruit an otolaryngologist - head & neck surgeon. The successful candidate will have an academic position description of Clinician Teacher and must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. Effective start date is July 1, 2021 or shortly thereafter.
 
The Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the University Health Network is sub-specialty focused in head and neck oncology. The position is well suited to an early to mid-career otolaryngologist, head and neck surgeon with a clinical focus in head and neck surgical oncology. In addition to translational research, the successful applicant will rotate on clinical services in areas of his/her clinical competence and will be responsible for teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
  
The successful applicant must hold an MD degree, must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery and must be eligible for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. The position requires an individual who has a fellowship in an accredited American Head and Neck Society fellowship program or equivalent. It is expected this individual will have advanced skills in surgical management of head and neck oncologic disorders. Subspecialty expertise in microvascular surgery, transoral robotic surgery, minimally invasive head and neck surgery or endoscopic skull base surgery would be an asset. The candidate will have experience and/or postgraduate training in clinical epidemiology or public health.
