Piling Geotechnical Design Engineer

A highly successful company with a turnover of over £40million and branches in ground investigation and piling are looking for Piling Geotechnical Design Engineers to join their team in the North East of the UK.

They are looking for someone with 5+ years experience and open to all levels above that, in their words, they are simply looking out for quality geotechnical engineers with solid piling experience.

The company have developed their own technique which means they can install an in situ beam quicker than other companies can install a pre cast. This coupled with the fact that they do both ground investigation and piling (meaning they can do the full process from breaking ground to the floor slab), has proved popular with clients, which is why they are booked up well into next year and continuously winnning projects.

Requirements:

• 5+ years professional piling experience in the UK
• Chartered, or working towards Chartership
• Knowledge of building regulations in England
• Microsoft Office packages

Responsibilities:

• Produce executive summaries from Tender SI's
• Prepare pile design and ground beam summary
• Identify geotechnical risks and suggest mitigation measures
• Work with the tender team
• Assist in the implementation and validation of pile and groundbeam solutions together with site teams and in-house CAD and survey teams

This will be working from home to start with in line with government restrictions, however the main office will be in the North East of the UK. It would also be a bonus if you had vibro compaction and soil modification experience.
