Senior Scientist- Covid19 Global Project!

Our client is searching for a Senior Scientist; you will be working on the Covid-19 vaccine and prepping it for EU and UN compliance. This role is a long term contract lasting until 2021 with the high possibility for extension beyond; it can provide you with stability.

This role also requires traveling twice per year in 2021 to South Africa for three weeks at a time. This is where their production facilities are located. If you are already based in South Africa this is for sure a great opportunity for you, as the manufacturing location will be close by.

The Role:

This is an 'End-to-End' scope and applies to all biological drug projects, developed and/or manufactured internally and externally. Developing and implementing the global DPD strategy and plan per product, in line with the overall strategy and plan as outlined by the CMC team, enabling the CMC team to optimize the science within DPD. The successful candidate will ensure alignment and endorsement of this strategy within the DPD function.

Hard Requirements:

• A Master's Degree or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy or a related field with 3 years of experience is required
• Demonstrated competency and experience in biologic drug product development within the pharmaceutical industry with a high level of technical understanding is required
• Demonstrated experience in scale up of manufacturing processes and technical transfer of projects into commercial manufacturing is preferred
• Drug Product Development experience that spans early through late is preferred
• Experience in vaccine, gene, and/or cell therapy product development is advantage
