CAMHS Clinical Psychologist

I am working with a world renowned private service in North London who are looking for a qualified CAMHS Clinical Psychologist to join their service. The service are looking for a qualified CAMHS Clinical Psychologist to aid in delivering in patient interventions within CAMHS.

With this CAMHS Clinical Psychologist opportunity you will work for a renowned specialist service that are especially focused on getting the most out of their patients. With this CAMHS Clinical Psychologist role you will work on a 3 month contract that features flexibility around the hours and rate of pay, so that you will have the freedom to set your schedule around your needs. Because this services operates in a highly specialist area you will have the opportunity to advance your skills and experience within this expert area.

Your responsibilities would be:

-To participate in the assessment clinic, Providing initial assessment and diagnosis of people referred to the service.

-To provide family based treatment on the initial pathway including engaging in Key-working and running a parent's psycho - education group. To provide evidenced based psychological treatments to young people - Both Individual and group.

-To undertake high quality direct (assessment & therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions making autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice.

-Provide specialist psychological assessment of children to undertake the assessment utilising information from a broad range of structured psychometric and semi -structured clinical methods.

-To formulate and implement plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of clients mental health problems based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence - based best practise taking into account the current nice guidelines , and recommend specialist treatment protocols.

-To undertake a range of psychological therapeutic interventions, drawing on a range of psychological models and employing a range of modalities (individual, family /systemic and group) adapted and tailored to the need of the individual and the context, and to undertake on going evaluation of the outcome of the interventions.

Requirements:

  • Honours degree in psychology, recognised by the British Psychological Society and a recognised post-graduate professional qualification in Clinical Psychology.
  • Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • CAMHS experience.
