The Department of Medicine at The Aga Khan University Hospital, comprises of independent sections of Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, Neurology, and Pulmonary & Critical Care. The department has over 70+ full-time Faculty with a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate education and research. Residency Programmes are offered in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Adult Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonary Medicine, Nephrology and Dermatology, as well as Fellowship Programmes in Clinical Neurophysiology & Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism, Interventional Cardiology and Infectious Diseases.

Responsibilities

Faculty will have an independent consultant status and undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and specified administrative activities.

Requirements

The appointee must have completed a structured postgraduate training program from a reputable institution and possess FCPS, MRCP, American Boards or equivalent qualification in Nephrology along with substantial postgraduate experience in nephrology at an internationally recognized, high-quality facility.

Applicants for Associate Professor should have at least 8 years of teaching / research experience in a HEC recognized University or postgraduate institution, with 5 years' post-terminal experience of teaching and a minimum of 10 research publications in journals recognized jointly by HEC and PMDC with at least 4 of these publications in the last 5 years.

Applicants who are Assistant Professor are also encouraged to apply and they should have at least 2 years' experience as Senior Instructor or equivalent.
