Job Details
Student Experience Team (SET), Faculty of Social Sciences
You will work as part of a busy student-facing team supporting academic staff and students in the Faculty of Social Sciences.
SET focuses on enhancing the experience of our students by engaging with important issues affecting them, supporting wellbeing, providing accessible information through our online communications hub and working with academic staff to support student focused initiatives. This team provides the opportunity to engage with a wide range of projects and work with staff across the faculty.
Excellent communication, organisational and inter-personal skills are required and you must be able to demonstrate that you can work with large data sets, accurately and within relevant policies and procedures. You will be an excellent team player with a proven ability to work proactively, and will be friendly, well-organised and adaptable, taking a proactive approach in reviewing processes and practices.
You must be flexible, adaptable and willing to learn new and different skills in an ever-changing landscape.
You must be a competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
The Student Experience Team also supports wider teams in the Faculty who organise specialist administration and support the Faculty; in the preparation for validation of new undergraduate and postgraduate taught curriculum, student communications and representation, statutory and regulatory body monitoring, committee servicing and implementation of academic regulations and processes.
For an informal discussion about the role please contact Sarah Chapman on sj.chapman@soton.ac.uk
We aim to be an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
