The Economics Department invites applications for an Assistant Professor for the 2021-22 academic year, with a teaching load of three courses per semester.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching intermediate microeconomics, and two electives in applied microeconomics, preferably Environmental Economics, Labor Economics and Applied Econometrics. We are also open to other areas like Health Economics and Development Economics. They will also teach introductory economics and statistics as well as courses for campus-wide programs such as the First-Year Experience and Gateway Colloquium. The successful candidate will exhibit excellence in undergraduate teaching with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

IWU is fully invested in the teacher-scholar model. Application materials submitted should substantively address candidate's experience and commitment to advancing a diverse and inclusive learning environment, and provide evidence of ways they support social, cultural, and learning differences to ensure reaching out to all students in their classrooms.

A completed Ph.D. by August 2021 is preferred; ABDs will be considered. Review of applications will begin November 13, 2020 and continue until the position is filled.
