Job Details
The Anatomy & Surgery Learning Studio (ASLS) is a multi-purpose, multidisciplinary, multi-professional facility for undergraduate, postgraduate, faculty and continuing education programmes in medicine, nursing and allied health. It is well equipped with human specimens for anatomical teaching and learning, as well as hands-on workshops. In addition, the surgical instruments include macroscopic and microscopic dissection kits, electrically powered drills, saws and cutters, dissecting microscopes, c-arm machine and sets of endoscopes with cameras and monitors for teaching endoscopic laparoscopic surgeries and Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS). Hands-on surgical training workshops and international conferences are regularly arranged at the studio for medical students, residents, fellows, as well as participants from other institutions.

Reporting to both Chair, Biological and Biomedical Sciences and Chair, Surgery, you will be responsible for:
- assisting with undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
- supervising/carrying out the physical set-up and preparing equipment and materials needed for training sessions, workshops and conferences
- assisting with budget planning, audit and HR related activities
- scheduling ASLS visits and diverse lab activities
- overall management of ASLS including inventory, procurement processes, as well as the maintenance of all equipment/instruments and related apparatus
- serving as a resource person for the ASLS
Requirements
You should have:
- at least a Bachelors in Biomedical Engineering or MSc or equivalent degree from an HEC recognised or reputable foreign university/institution. Management diploma/degree in a related field will be preferred.
- 2-3 years of related technical and management work experience
- excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- proven ability to work well with certain degree of autonomy and function successfully in a team environment
