Lab Technician - Basel - Pharma.

On behalf of one of the top 3 Pharma companies who are looking for a Sample Operator, on a contract basis for at least 12 months to be based in Basel. This is a chance to be a part of one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, where extensions are expected allowing you to gain exposure with a reputable name and ultimately build further value for your profile. This is a contract with guaranteed working hours of 40 hours per week.

Due to the high workload and the high number of sample trains, the department is looking for support in sampling management.

The employee will not carry out any analysis himself, but will carry out samples in the central warehouse and send them to the appropriate test laboratories.

The MA carries out sample aliquotings and supports calibration work on the equipment, manages retention samples and supports general warehouse management (over 70,000 samples)

There are two areas:

- Delegated sampling in which smaller quantities are processed

- Central warehouse in which up to hundreds of kilograms or several pallets of material are processed. So there is also regular physically demanding work.

All solid forms are used (capsules, tablets, powder, bottles, ...) and also on the open active ingredient where a full-body protective suit is required.

The substances are varied and subject to different risks and range from powdered sugar to highly toxic substances.

This position is therefore a hybrid of scientific work under laboratory and GMP guidelines and logistics (warehouse management, incoming / outgoing goods).

As an MA, the department is looking for a hybrid of laboratory technician and logistician, with a focus more on laboratory technician.
