The University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021 will apply to a successful candidate's employment at the University. The University recently temporarily varied its Enterprise Agreement. Please be advised that the salary range, along with other conditions associated with this position, may change in accordance with the variation to the Enterprise Agreement.

Two three year fixed-term positions available to work on a CRC-P project to improve optometry accuracy at the point of care.

The postdoctoral researchers will use natural language processing research to build algorithms to interpret text fields; use their computer vision research to train AI algorithms; and/or work with probabilistic graph models to conduct diagnostic and reference analytics.

To be successful you will need:
  • Have a PhD in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Programming experience and expertise in Matlab, Python, or C++ or other relevant language.
  • Experience and demonstrable expert knowledge in one or more or the following areas; multimodal learning and representation, medical image processing and segmentation, vision-and-language technology including Visual Question Answering, Probabilistic graphical modelling or deep learning in general.
  • Track record of publications in top-tier Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence or Medical Imaging conferences and/or journals, commensurate with experience and opportunity.
  • A strong work ethic, and the ability to work well independently, and as a member of a broader team, including with industrial partners.
