The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at the University of Bristol for a Knowledge Transfer Partnership Specialist.
The role holder will advance the impact of the University's research through the generation, development and management of Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) projects across the university. You will be responsible for developing new applications and managing the business and academic relationships for partnerships within the KTP portfolio.
The role is available at 0.8 FTE, 4 days per week or equivalent.
If you have experience of the KTP scheme, developing the applications of research in business, charities, the public sector or in a university then this role could be for you.
What will I be doing?
The post-holder will take on inter-disciplinary projects and should be able to work in any field or Faculty.
Working closely with academic colleagues and Innovate UK KTP Advisers, you will see KTP projects through from beginning-to-end: attending exploratory meetings with potential partner organisations, funders and academic staff; initiating or attending networking opportunities to develop relationships and promote KTPs with the University of Bristol; developing KTP grant applications with partners and academic collaborators; administering awarded funding with colleagues in finance and HR; writing and collating funder reports; providing an evaluation of KTP opportunities, and working with members of the Impact Development team to offer training in impact across the university.
