Are you an energy or materials researcher with an interest in interdisciplinary research and a passion for collaboration?
Do you have a background in modelling related to energy, or the energy - materials science interface?
Do you want to further your career in one of the UK's leading research intensive Universities?
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher to join the modelling based Complete decarbonisation of the steel industry - how do we get there?
project (funded by CREDS , a UKRI centre) which will make a significant contribution to areas leading to the decarbonising of the steel industry by 2050.
This interdisciplinary role will work on gathering and analysis of data from steel industry stakeholders, conduct modelling of possible steel decarbonisation scenarios, and propose industrial strategies, business models and government policies to deliver the steel industry's contribution to the national decarbonisation agenda.
You will have a PhD (or close to completion) in engineering, the physical, mathematical, or social sciences, or a closely allied discipline that is demonstrably relevant to the project, with a demonstratable ability to work seamlessly across discipline boundaries, individually and/or through collaboration.
