The role

The Centre for Academic Language and Development is seeking to appoint an outstanding Deputy Administration Manager on a one year fixed term contract to help lead and develop the Centre's administration team and support student activities. As part of the University's ambitious Internationalisation strategy, the Centre is currently undergoing an exciting and rapid period of growth: your skills in continuous process improvement, accurate communication and excellent attention to detail will be imperative. This new post reports to the Centre Administration Manager - deputising for them as and when required - and line manages multiple Administrator posts. You should have demonstrable experience of supervising workloads and output quality as well as a passion for leading and developing colleagues.

What will I be doing?

You will bring expertise in people management; IT skills including excel, E-Vision and Blackboard; be able to innovate and develop processes; and understand the value of accurate data. You will appreciate the challenges and requirements of providing a professional service to a varied student body and have the positive and engaging attitude necessary to motivate your team to deliver to the highest standards.
