Are you a strategic and creative communications professional, able to build audience-centred multi-platform communications strategies and plans to inform, engage and inspire?

Can you develop exceptional, pro-active relationships with colleagues to create the best possible experience for students and for colleagues delivering student-related activities?

Are you a motivating leader, with a proven track record in managing high-performing teams?

We are seeking an experienced and motivated communications professional to provide strategic leadership to communications and engagement with our students and student-related colleagues across a range of channels.

At the University of Leeds, we are proud to have an embedded culture of working in partnership with our diverse student population (including students from over 140 countries, studying on a range of programmes including degree apprenticeships, as well as undergraduate, and taught and research postgraduate degrees).

This is a new role in the Communications Team, leading a team that brings together student communications professionals from different functions across the University. You will be a vital strategic link between many different departments in the University and will need to build strong and productive relationships with a wide range of colleagues.

This appointment comes at a particularly exciting time for the University, as it devises a strategy for the coming decade that drives the need to form strong partnerships with our student population so that they become co-creators of their education and experience. Listening to the voices of our diverse student population will be essential for success in this role.
