Your position
PhD/postdoctoral positions are available in the group of Prof. Verdon Taylor at the Department of Biomedicine, University of Basel. The laboratory of Embryology and Stem Cell Biology is using state-of-the-art genetics and human induced pluripotent stem cells to study fundamental aspects of brain development, stem cell fate determination and mechanism of neurodegeneration. The projects address the role of Notch signaling, post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression, and the causes of frontotemporal lobe degeneration using single cell omics and quantitative proteomics.
Your profile
We are looking for a PhD student and/or postdoctoral fellow with a background in a life science, biochemistry or neurobiology. Applicants should have a strong track record in research and be committed to a career in science.Experience in bioinformatic analysis of omics data would be an advantage. Postdoctoral candidates should have an established publication record and be able to demonstrate excellence in research. We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic people to integrate into our collaborative team.
We offer you
The projects are funded according to the guidelines of the Swiss National Science Foundation. Our team is highly interactive and innovative and we offer state-of-the-art technologies and the core facilities of Department of Biomedicine and University of Basel.
