Senior Regulatory Toxicologist - Amazing Environment

I'm currently working with a well recognised brand within the world of consulting and research. They have multiple businesses units covering a variety of areas within the scientific domain. This has turned out to be a huge competitive advantage for their Regulatory business unit as it means they can manage client projects a lot faster that other consultancies. In turn, this has led to high demand for their services coupled with a lot of growth over the past 3 years.

Another part of their key to success has been the people they have chosen to employ. They have handpicked a mixture of highly experienced people from industry and consultancy a-like to bring in a wide variety of competences in motivated individuals. In addition, the people they have recruited are genuinely nice people, and, with a caring and attentive Managing Director the Helm, they have a great working environment.

As part of their growth, they are now looking to add to their expanding Regulatory Toxicology team and are looking for someone with an extensive background working to EU Regulations 1107/2009 for Agrochemicals/Plant Protection.

The role will be highly dynamic with a strong hands on focus on technical work from developing testing strategies, study monitoring, risk assessments, exposure estimates to dossier preparation, client consultation and dossier defence. In addition, you might be working on your own individual projects or as part of a project team depending on requirements offering a lot of variety in content that will keep you challenged and stimulated.

Key Activities:

  • Responsible for the evaluation of regulatory requirements necessary for client data
  • Work on developing testing strategies for client in accordance to EU data requirements
  • Study monitoring with both internal and external testing teams and innovate or come up with alternative testing methods
  • Preparation of both AI and Product registrations dossiers in according with EU Regulation 1107/2009
  • Performing non-dietary risk assessments including operator, worker, resident and bystander
  • Providing expert Toxicology advice for defending dossiers
  • Work closely with Regulatory Project Managers on commercial propositions for client projects
  • Provide assistance training/mentorship to more junior members of the team

Key Requirements:

  • Around 5 to 15 years working as Regulatory Toxicologist
  • Expert knowledge within Toxicology requirements for 1107/2009
  • Specific knowledge in Endocrine Disruption and QSAR Modelling
  • Ideally an ERT (European Registered Toxicologist)
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects
  • A professional level of English and another European language

Additional Information:

  • Reporting Line: Reports into Head of Regulatory Toxicology
  • Direct Reports: None - mentoring of more junior team member
  • Location: Full Time Homeworking available or option of offices across the EU
  • Salary: Based on location and experience
