Managing Director - Agrochemical Regulatory Affairs

If you have hands on registrations experience with EU Regulation 1107/2009 at European Level, please keep reading!

It's not often you see a Regulatory professional step into a senior management role, let alone becoming the head of a company. Normally these opportunities are only open to the people who have held commercial functions within the company, maybe even those who have done an MBA.

So, what if I told you that I'm currently working with a company who doesn't want someone like that? What if I told you they are looking for someone with a profound experience in Regulatory Affairs? And someone who wants to step up their career?

If you are interested, it might be worth arranging a confidential discussion about a change of your career trajectory.

They client are a small consultancy that has built up a solid reputation of the years who have built on being able to deliver high levels of regulatory services. This is an ethos that they have built in to their company culture and as they take a step back from managing this business, they would like their legacy to live on.

To maintain this strong culture, they want someone who will understand the working struggles of their consultants, a person who will help support them to achieve their personal and professional goals within the business. They don't want someone who us purely commercially focused and will only care about profit margins.

If money and profit margins were the owner's goals, they would probably divest the business to a larger consultancy or investment firm. This normally leads to restructuring, redundancies, sales targets and overall quality issues with the service. This is not what they want for their business and it's not what they want for the people who have become like family to them.

Key Requirements:

  • Around 15 to 20 years within and Agrochemical Regulatory Affairs Position
  • Solid expertise within EU Regulation 1107/2009
  • Proven track record in either People Management or Project Management
  • Natural leadership abilities with strong communication skills
  • A professional proficiency in English with German being a major advantage

Additional Information:

  • Reporting Line: Reporting into the owners of the business
  • Direct Reports: 14 senior regulatory profesisonals
  • Location: Basel - maximum 2 days home working
  • Salary: negotiable
