Supervising Social Worker - IFA

A well established Independent Fostering Agency are looking for a Supervising Social Worker to hold a case load of Foster Carers in West Sussex.

The Service received 'Good' across all areas of their recent OFSTED Inspection with OFSTED commenting its 'strong ethical value-based vision for the quality of care provided'.

The role offers excellent training and developmental opportunities, including training around the agency's therapeutic approach which is under pinned by attachment theory.

As a Supervising Social Worker you be responsibilities will include:

  • Providing emotional and practical support to the agency's Foster Carers, ensuring that the child needs are being met
  • Undertaking monthly and announced visits to foster carer households
  • Competing Annual Reviews for existing carers and Form F Assessments for new ones coming into the agency
  • Participating in the Agency's Outs of Hours Rota

To be considered you will be a Qualified Social Worker with at least one year within a Fostering Team, Charity or Independent Fostering Agency. You will be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of Fostering Minimum Standards, Legalisation and all aspect of Safeguarding.
