Lead the IRO Safeguarding Service

A Local Authority based in London is seeking an experienced Service Manager to help lead and develop their IRO Safeguarding service

Highlights:

  • This post will see you manage 5 IRO's
  • Will be a part of the wider management team and will be encouraged to use your experience to help further improve practice
  • The Local Authority is implementing the Family Safeguarding Model and Systemic Practice
  • You will be joining a largely stable team with most staff employed on a permanent basis so you wont have to worry about recruiting additional staff
  • Will be supported by an experienced Senior Manager as well as the wider senior management team

    • This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager to take the reigns of the IRO service. This is a largely stable service which see little staff turnover. Therefore the post holder wont have to worry about recruiting additional staff and can focus on the development of the service.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a Local Authority which has embraced the Family Safeguarding Model and Systemic Practice and is realigning its services to provide a more holistic package of care. You will be joining a Local Authority which is modernising its children's services and therefore will really have the chance to contribute to this change.

    To be considered for this post you should have extensive management experience. Those candidates who have previously practised as an IRO are highly sought after, however this is not an essential requirement
