Quality Engineer - Swiss MedTech - Mechanical/Chemical background - German/English - urgent role

We're working with a small Swiss company (¬100) based in German speaking Switzerland, and manufacturing components for a number of industry sectors including Medical Devices. An opening has just arisen for a Quality Engineer - this is a permanent position with good career development prospects and an ASAP start, although longer notice periods will also be considered.

Reporting to the Medical devices Manager, the role itself is broad and hands on and is likely to include preparation and support for internal / external audits, support to QM system, development and management of quality agreements with customers & suppliers, customer complaints management, responsibility for technical customer documentation (project validations, process parameters, test instructions, plans, etc.), document control, and to become the contact person for certification bodies and other external bodies.

Typically this person will have a Mechanical engineering or chemical engineering type background with a number of years working in quality within the Medical devices sector, including hands on experience with ISO 13485. The role will require excellence in communication skills, driving quality tasks across the company, and helping in developing a strong quality culture within the division.

The role is open to both relatively junior applicants (no graduates please) as well as senior Quality professionals. There are no immediate management skills although the intention is to significantly develop the Quality department further.

German and English are essential.
